Classes for the Fall session will begin Wednesday September 5th 2018.
Rhythmic combinations, barre work, across the floor, and combinations. Tap dancing improves timing and coordination.
This is the foundation of all dancing. Ballet training is the key to every dancer’s development. Our ballet class is technically structured and includes barre, across the floor and combination work.
Concentrates on style, technique, and formation. Jazz training helps to improve timing, strength, and coordination. This style covers a wide range of music.
Similar to gymnastics. No apparatus involved. All stretching and tricks are done on the floor or on the mat.
Students must have 3 to 4 years of ballet training and be at an intermediate level.
Tuition is due the first week of the month. Tuition is paid on a monthly basis, based on 10 months. You will not receive a bill so please mark your calendar. There will be a late fee if payment is not made on time. Any student who is behind on tuition after 14 days may not be permitted to class. Discounted rate will apply to multiple classes (per child).
Regular attendance is a must as each student is important to the success of the whole class. Missed lessons slow not only your child, but the entire class. Please drop off your child a few minutes prior to class and please pick up promptly. There are no refunds or deductions for missed or rescheduled classes. If your child misses a class, please schedule a make-up class. Perfect attendance will be acknowledged as long as the student starts on the first day of class in September and completes the full year.
All dancers must wear appropriate dance attire. Beginner and intermediate classes must wear a black camisole leotard, and either black tights or theatrical pink. (Tights must be footed or conversion). Advanced classes and Club Date classes must wear a black camisole leotard and either black or suntan tights (footed or conversion). Proper dance shoes must be worn to each class.
Visitor’s Day will be held 3 times throughout the school year. Visitors may watch class for the last week of the month, for the last 15 minutes of the class (October, January, March).
Our annual recital is held in June—date TBA. All students who participate in our recital must attend the dress rehearsal. Our annual recital provides an opportunity for our dancers to showcase their accomplishments. In fairness to all dancers, all students should stay for the entire performance.
